As the advanced technologies division of Acrodex, Arcspan’s key focus is on Service Delivery
Optimization. Acrodex is one of Canada’s premier information services organizations.
Through managing service delivery and providing consulting services for all types of
organizations, the principals of Acrodex realized there was tremendous need for a
comprehensive service delivery solution that integrated business processes and automated
workflow, triggered by business related events and procedures.
The Arcspan flagship product evolved in 1995 and the first version of the solution was deployed
on a Lotus Notes Platform. In 1997, the second-generation version of Arcspan was
built on web-based and relational database technologies. This version was showcased by
Microsoft Canada as part of their "Knowledge Management Roadshow" in February 1998.
In late 2000, Arcspan launched its PSA version of the solution, which included a value-added,
Internet-based, hosted extension of its solution suite. In 2001, the overall solution
was augmented with active directory enablement, business intelligence and extended
project-planning features. In 2002, the overall product has also been extended to coexist
in the Microsoft .NET environment and offers a rich role based portal interface to accommodate
enterprise application integration features.
Today, Arcspan is a mature, robust, fully integrated and globalized product that is used
by leading professional services organizations around the world.
